ScrollFit may collect the following types of information:
- Account Information: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive basic profile information (name, email) to create and manage your account
- App Configuration Data: Your Modes, Schedules, exercise settings, and preferences
- Usage Statistics: Locked time duration, break counts, and exercise statistics (rep counts, exercise types)
- Screen Time Data: References to apps and categories you select for blocking/allowing (we do not access the content of these apps)
- Device Information: Basic device information necessary for app functionality
Camera Usage
ScrollFit uses your device's camera solely for exercise detection (counting pushups and squats). Important points about camera usage:
- Camera feed is processed locally on your device using AI pose detection
- Video is never recorded, stored, or transmitted to any server
- Camera is only active during exercise detection sessions
- You can deny camera access, but exercise detection will not function
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide app blocking and unlocking services
- Track and display your usage statistics
- Sync your settings across devices (if signed in)
- Improve app performance and user experience
- Fix bugs and technical issues
- Comply with legal obligations
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Firebase services:
- Firebase Authentication: Manages your sign-in credentials securely
- Firebase Firestore: Stores your Modes, Schedules, and statistics
- Firebase Crashlytics: Collects anonymous crash reports to improve app stability
All data is associated with your authenticated user account and is not shared with other users.
Screen Time Integration
ScrollFit integrates with Apple's Screen Time APIs to block apps. Please note:
- We only receive references to apps/categories you select - not your actual app usage data
- App blocking is enforced by Apple's Screen Time framework at the system level
- We do not have access to what you do inside blocked or unblocked apps
Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:
- With your consent
- To comply with legal obligations
- To protect our rights and safety
- With service providers who assist in operating our app (Firebase/Google), under strict data protection agreements
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Secure authentication through Apple and Google sign-in
- Firebase security rules restricting data access to authenticated users only

You can delete all your data at any time using the "Reset App" feature in the Profile tab, or by deleting your account.

ScrollFit is intended for adults (18+) seeking self-control and digital wellbeing tools. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
